The voices of female entrepreneurs have been silenced and the richness of their stories have been overlooked. By collecting the stories of female entrepreneurs in Yorkshire, this project brings to the fore the voices of female entrepreneurs, their achievements and contribution to UK economic, social and environmental development.
The project comprises of 30 oral history interviews. The stories paint a vivid picture of the diversity of female entrepreneurs including their different background, motivations, inspirations and challenges.
The project was funded by the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme.
