Third Conference on Re-Thinking Female Entrepreneurship
Exploring qualitative research methods and theoretical frameworks to advance the research on the intersectionality of female entrepreneurs

Building on previous successful events held in 2018 and 2020 on Re-thinking female entrepreneurship, we are pleased to announce a two-days conference on qualitative research methods and theoretical frameworks to advance the research on the intersectionality of female entrepreneurs.
The conference will include a number of workshops and presentations on different qualitative research methods as well as theoretical frameworks. The sessions will be delivered by prominent scholars who have strong track record of multiple publications in leading journals.

Prof Claire Leitch – Professor of Entrepreneurial Leadership – Lancaster University
Prof. Ruth Woodfield – Professor of Equalities and Organisation – University of St Andrews
As part of the conference, early career researchers (ECRs)/doctoral students will also have the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from senior scholars.
The selection of ECRs presenters will be based on an abstract of 500 words. The deadline for submission is 15 February 2020.

Scholars who are more advanced in their career are also welcome to attend as well as practitioners/entrepreneurs/women’s organisations.
The atmosphere will be informal and collegial.
This conference is funded by the British Academy as part of Rising Star Engagement Award (BARSEA).
The generous support of the British Academy will allow us to offer the conference free of charge with lunch and refreshments included. It will also enable us to offer few funded places for ECRs and doctoral students.
Successful submissions from ECRs/PhD students will be considered for the scholarship.
Funded ECRs are expected to attend the 2 full days.

Submission of Abstract (ECRS): 11.59 pm, 15th February 2020.
Notification of abstract acceptance: 5.00 pm 18th February 2020
Conference date: 17th and 18th March 2020
We will shortly circulate a detailed conference agenda.
The registration of the conference will take place on 17th March at 10.00 am. The conference will start at 10.45 am.
The first day of the conference will finish at 17.00.
The second day of the conference will start at 9.00 am and will finish at 15.00 pm.
